About AUGGIE

Auggie was a 'emotional support dog' for a teenage boy in foster care. When this child was allowed to go back to his blood family, they did not want the dog. So, he came to rescue. Auggie is a fabulous dog and would be great in a home with kids. He has ONE thing we would caution you about. His diet needs to be moist (no 'just' dry kibble) Some dogs can not tolerate the ash content in dry food, such is Auggie's issue. So a half a cup of kibble moistened with water and a few good dollops of high grade canned food AND if you include a pinch of cranberry powder in his food that will help keep the PH balance of his urine and NO PROBLEMS! Auggie is WORTH the little extras!
