Doc--that has developed and blossomed since he has begun a treadmill routine and is getting steady exercise each day--is nothing short of wonderful. He has come so far! Doc now walks on the treadmill for ten to fifteen minutes a day, at an incline, without being forced to do so. He doesn't even need a leash anymore. He loves it! Since beginning his daily workouts, Doc has learned a slew of commands, including sit, lay down, and shake. He walks nicely on a leash. He is very responsive to correction. He has met men and has gone on walks with volunteers that he may have once feared. He has met strangers and had zero negative reactions. He has met two different puppies that he loved (one was actually too high energy for him...WHAT???). Now, Doc has a GIRLFRIEND! We can barely believe it and we are so proud of him. Doc will succeed in many families, as long as they provide him with the exercise he needs and do not give up on continual training. Doc has so much love to give and has the potential to be an AMAZING family pet. Doc should not go to a family with cats, but he would be willing to meet other family dogs, kids and family members to see if he could be a good fit.
