About Roxxie

Hi my name is Cody. I have a pitbull named Roxie who is 10yrs old. I had Rox almost 7 yrs when I had to go away for a bit. While I was gone my wife had re.homed her to some friends of ours. Once I got home, I visted her several times and was comfortable with her arrangement. I got another dog from a shelter because I have never not had a dog. So now I have had Lady for almost 3 yrs and she is amazing. I get a call a few weeks ago saying Roxie killed a small breed pup that they decided to bring in the home with them, and if I didn't come get her she would be euthanized. Roxie has been raised with loads of love, but has always been very instintcively dog aggressive. She has spent the majority of her life isloated from other dogs. I picked her up and brought her home. I built her a 12x12 kennel outside because she tried to attack my other dog day one. Roxie barks constantly, and is causing mass amounts of stress. I cannot get her out of the kennel without locking my other dog in a room first. It has become alot of responsibility as well as stress. My dog Lady is so sweet and trained so well she doesn't deserve to be neglected her happiness and peace of mind. Rox is very healthy, and very active and agile. She loves to fetch and walk. She has never bitten a human and has always been around small children. She is so sweet and loving, and also very intelligent. It's just at this point, dangerous and unfair to everyone involved and the dogs. Maybe I'm being a bit selfish by not taking her to be euthanized, but she is very healthy and would still make someone an excellent pet. In the right situation that is.
