About Sadie

SADIE is a 2-3-yr-old 'Dark Chocolate' Lab female. She is in foster in Olympia, WA and weighs approx. 65 pounds. She does know the basic commands...sit and stay. She sometimes likes to give you a paw w/o even requesting it. She is in foster in Olympia, WA with a family with 3 children who are 5, 8 and 13 years of age and is doing great. She gets along well with smaller dogs but the larger ones get excited with her high energy and can perhaps maybe be a problem. She needs some exercise and training to be calm but what she loves the most is her humans, and she will be with them most of the time chilling out bc that is what makes her the happiest. She is a wonderful dog....happy all the way. She is very alert and curious of her surroundings. Very sweet girl. She is a total wiggle butt! This is from Sadie's foster family who has 3 children, 5 , 8 and a teenager 'We do crate Sadie when we are not with her. Matter of fact, she goes to her crate on her own if we are not in the room. She has obviously had some good obedience training, she knows to sit, listens well and learns quickly. Definitely house trained. Our 16 year old wore her out last night playing outside, she has plenty of energy and does the crazy run when playing catch. Inside she is happy to be by your feet and chill out and be a total lover. I know the paperwork says she is three, but we believe she is younger than that. Very sweet dog and great really fabulous with the our three kids Her deep and loud bark was unexpected for her size. She walks on the leash well until other dogs are seen then she might bark and/or pull a bit. Just needs a bit more training. Very strong dog. Extremely social; follows us around the house (velcro dog!) and does the lab leg rub and foot stepping. Great dog who will make someone a really nice fur kid.
