A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet. Lily 4 years old poodle mix 19 lbs, spayed, chipped How a beautiful girl like Lily ends up in a kill shelter in CA is beyond words. Lily needed out of the shelter in CA as no one was coming to save her & her time was running out so we got her out so her new life could begin. Lily was taken to our wonderful vets where a few things were discovered instantly, Lily was under the weather & also needed a major dental as her teeth were in such horrendous shape, she ended up getting a whopping 10 teeth removed, medications & her skin was not in the best condition & needed work & care & she needed to put on weight. The work & love began. This girl had been through a rough time, we got all of her medical taken care of & her dental alone without anything else was $400. Lily is currently being fostered in a loving foster home with other dogs & cats & is putting on weight & still can eat kibble even though she has teeth missing but does enjoy both wet & dry food. She is not the type of little lady where she is good motivated. She does love to be loved by her people so she would do so well being a families everything. She needs a home where the family will dote on her & be her everything. Lily needs a home where she is allowed to sleep in the bed with her family & snuggle with daily & given love as Lily is such a kind, sweet & very calm gentle soul. Both foster family's in CA & WA have told us she is one of the sweetest easiest little souls they have ever met. Lily is now up to date on her shots, she is chipped, heart worm negative, spayed, had a major dental, is putting on weight & her skin is looking so much better. We do not know for sure what the mix is with Lily & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. Lily has been around cats since being in the rescue but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so this would be up to the new family to be responsible with. As with all of our rescues & Lily's friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training will in fact take them to training. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Lily & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Lily that meet all the requirements for this adorable little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Lily has an adoption fee of $685 & is ready for her forever home. **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves.
