German Shepherd mix

Why hello there, my name is Miss Georgia, but you can just call me Georgia, my dear. After spending a harrowing few years chained up in a backyard all to myself, I came to Augusta Dog Adoptions to find my forever home. Back then, I was pregnant and delivered all of my puppies only several days after being unchained. All of my babies have moved on and found their families, so I'm really hoping the world hasn't forgotten about little old me and I'm able to find my very own forever family to love and protect. Well, not to brag darlin', but I'm an absolute peach when it comes to manners and training. I greet every new visitor with a friendly hello and I very much enjoy playing with dogs, cats, and kids. Honestly, I'd likely do best in a house with a fenced yard where I can frolic about with another dog and some sweet little children. I have perfect lady-like manners- I am house-broken, crate-trained, and leash-trained. One of the most endearing traits about shepherds like me is our unwavering sense of loyalty. Once you take me home, it won't take long for me to get attached to my new family and keep a watchful eye over all of you. I don't like being away from my family for very long, so I'd love to be in a home where I wouldn't have to be kept all by my lonesome often. If you're looking for a loyal protector, a watchful companion, or a cuddle buddy as sweet as a Magnolia blossom, you are absolutely looking for me, Miss Georgia! Come visit me at the Waynesboro Petsmart between 10 AM and 2 PM on Saturdays and I might just have to come on home with you. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. For more information and to apply to adopt, please visit www.augustadogadoptions.org If you google our address, you will be directed to Richmond. That is NOT our adoption event location. If you have questions, please message us on Facebook.
