You might recognize those big brown orbs as our terrier pup from Mexico - Spud Muffin. We placed him with an adopter in the spring but unfortunately things didn't work out and he's back, waiting for his perfect forever family to find him. He's all grown up now, a scruffy young boy of 18 months and the perfect adventure size of 22 lbs., and he's looking for a fun, active family to enjoy life with! Ben is truly the sweetest and happiest dog you may ever meet. Sometimes he needs a little time to warm up to new people but once he does, he really does and then he's all wiggles. He's a mostly quiet guy who can also be terrier stubborn and like all animals, his energy will reflect his environment. He loves to play with a well matched canine companion and is also happy entertaining himself with stuffies or safe chew toys. Benjamin enjoys walks but can feel insecure with the unknown, and he'll appreciate an attentive person who will help him feel safe. Our former street urchin spent the first several months of life fending for himself in Tijuana, so he likes to stay alert outdoors. Loud trucks or barky hyper dogs can be stressful though he's easily redirected by a mindful parent. Hikes in the hills are probably more his style vs dodging cars in the city. Ben Kenobi is really good at basic commands, like 'sit' and 'bed' which will get him to go right into his crate no questions asked! Like most terriers and street mutts, this nugget is a smart one who'll excel with leadership and structure from his humans. A private yard would be ideal with a single family home. Kids welcome!! An active family who likes to get out and hike and enjoy nature would probably be a dream come true for Bennie boy. Are you an REI family?
