About Charlie

Charlie is sweet, purebred Australian Shepherd - black tri, neutered and housetrained. We have had him since he was a puppy and he is a gentle dog - we are expecting our second child and he is not comfortable around very young children. He is GREAT with kids 8 and up, but toddlers make him very anxious. He can be talkative and loves to snuggle - he's good a leash and has basic commands. We always say he seems like he's a human in a dog body and has very understanding eyes. I would like a home with older children or no children. He has lived in both apartments and houses with yards - as long as he can have a walk or a swim when it's VERY hot, he's a happy pup. He is 7 years old and has had surgery for my ACL on both back legs - he's completely healed, but cannot play fetch for hours on end (though he would want to!) He needs a loving home and plenty of kind attention, though he is also used to having both his pet parents work full time.
