About Hammy

5 years old, 45-50lbs Hammy was a feral dog his entire life till he was hit by a car and captured in Pasco County. Due to the accident his leg had to be amputated but he gets around just fine. Hammy has learned to co-exist with people but does not accept human touch yet, he enjoys taking treats from people and loves to be around them but is very low-maintenance in the affection department. He will take a lot of adjustment time in his new home but with a motivated owner he will be an amazing dog. He is crate trained and potty trained. He is good with other dogs of all sizes but does have a prey drive towards cat and other small animals. Must be local to SWFL to adopt. Application required.
