About Luna

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] We are looking to rehome Luna. She is special needs in that she does have incontinence issues but they are under control with a once a day dose of Proin which requires bloodwork every 6 months. She is up to date on all her vaccines, and will come with current vet records. She may need to be on another medication (Mirtazapine) long term to help her appetite because she doesn't seem interested in her food and is currently underweight, although this could be due to the high stress environment she is in at our home. Luna came from a previously abusive home. We believe our home is just too stressful for her. We have another husky and 2 cats, she gets along fine with them, but our home also has kids and we think all the commotion going on all day long around her is just too much. She is about 6 years old, spayed, and is house broken and crate trained. She knows basic commands such as sit, lay, stay, up, kennel and bed. She is a calm dog, she doesn't bark at anything really and she likes to laze around most of the day but she also has her playful moments. She is not destructive, does not dig and is not an escape artist like some other huskies. She does well off leash (after she's bonded with you) and at dog parks. We believe a quiet home without young kids would be ideal. She is not aggressive towards children, but she is not interested in interacting with them at all. A home with an older couple, a gentle spoken female or male would be a better fit because she seems unsure of most kids.
