About Owie

I found Owie as an abandoned kitten (as a cat-rescue volunteer) when she was about 2 weeks old. When I put her in my car to drive home, she was meowing, except she didn't say the 'Me' in meow. So I named her Owie after the way she meows. I got her home, fed her (she looked like she hadn't eaten in about a week but she already knew how to eat canned cat food), bathed her, and then she nuzzled up to me and fell asleep in my arms until I had to go to bed myself. She is energetic and playful. She loves to play with my other kitties and all the toys. At night when she gets sleepy, she starts to purr (loudly) and knead and nuzzle whatever she finds herself on, just like a baby kitten. If you pick her up and cuddle her when she's sleepy and then put her down, she will follow you around the house, looking for more cuddles and wondering what you are doing. She is very curious but cautious. If it is something she doesn't know, she will definitely take her time to make sure it won't bite first (hilarious to watch). I believe she would fit in well with all types of families that can introduce her slowly and properly. She has never been around dogs or kids but if the dog(s) or kid(s) is nice and gentle with her, I am sure she will come to want to play with them just as she does with my cats. I have four cats of my own and even though my boyfriend and I would love to keep her, we cannot afford it at this time nor does having four cats make it easy to find an apartment, much less five. I can only foster her (unfortunately) and try to find her the home that would love her the way we have come to. (Indoor only.)
