Ali is fostered in Melbourne, FL (Brevard County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families. Ali's mom was a border collie/spaniel mix, but Ali (pronounced 'Ollie') looks like a tiny shepherd! Ali's estimated DOB is 4/30/18. He currently weighs 28 lbs and may top out around 30-35. He is shy at first, but warms up within a day. He is an excellent leash walker and all-around fun companion. He loves toys and will try to hoard them all so he can play with them. He shows intelligence in being able to entertain himself this way. He is a quick study, eager to please and food motivated. He is starting to show herding drive, wanting everyone to be together in the home, and mostly will bump at heels when herding. Ali gets along great with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with another active dog. When he is not playing, he is an expert cuddler who craves love and affection. He requires a home with a fenced yard and no young children due to his size and herding drive, but considerate older children would be fine. He has an average energy level for a pup of his age and breed mix. He just adores everyone. Ali is crate trained, nearly housebroken, neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventives, and microchipped.
