'Doc,' short for Doc Holiday, was rescued as a puppy from the Helen Woodward Animal Center. He's been raised in a house with two young children, another dog, and a cat. Our other dog is very old and inactive, so Doc doesn't have someone to play with during the day while we are at work and then when we come home, unfortunately, we don't have too much time to dedicate to him. I think Doc would do very well for single person, a couple, or even a family with kids that are older and will take him on walks. We haven't socialized him very much, but recently we've taken him to the dog park and he did well, but could use more practice. We are leaving California very soon unfortunately cannot take him with us. We would love to find Doc a new home with someone that has time to snuggle with him and take him on walks. He is a calm and very affectionate dog that just wants to be petted. He occasionally chases a ball, but is pretty content just being in the house with his people.
