About Gwendolyn (Gwen)

Beagle / Dachshund
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

My name is Gwendolyn, Gwen for short. I was found as a stray running with Darcy, by Rancho Cucamonga shelter and pulled by PATCH Rescue March 2017. I am a Beagle / Std. Doxie mix, born approximately August 2015 and about 25 pounds, considered a medium sized dog. I am good with other dogs, in fact I prefer the canine companionship. I do pretty well on a leash and potty training. I am crate trained but would prefer to roam free. I am a very shy girl who would do best in a very calm household with people who are going to give me time and space to learn to trust again. I do better with women as men scare me, especially ones with full facial hair. I might be okay with older children but ones who know how to read my doggie moods. I can be VERY sweet but then something spooks me and I retreat, so I am what the rescue classifies as a project dog. I need the time and space to trust again. Both fosters say I would make a GREAT PTSD dog, as I can read moods and try to give you attention! (This is an opinion, NOT official!) I am spayed, up to date on core vaccines (5 in 1, bordetella & rabies), dewormed and mircochipped. If Interested PLEASE contact PATCH Rescue Inc. [email protected] or (760) 706-0728
