Xander showed up on my property as an older kitten, terrified of people. I can only guess that he is a purebred, but it seems very likely as he is not only tailless, but has the longer hindlegs and funny rabbit-like run that pure Manxes often have. It took months, but he now LOVES being petted, tries to play with my dog, and 'helps' me garden by batting at my tools and the flowers as I work. He spends hours every day looking in my backdoor and windows, obviously yearning to be an indoor kitty, but my long term house cats have health issues and I simply can't adopt Xander as a house kitty, no matter how much he seems to want it. I'm amazed he made it through last winter and am very worried about this coming winter. We have stray dogs, foxes and even coyotes around us and every day I fear Xander being killed or injured by them. He needs a forever, indoor home. He has always done his business in the dirt away from our house and I think he will litter box train very well with a little patience. He really wants to be an indoor kitty and I hope someone out there can help give him the safe, happy, playful life he deserves.
