About Buster

Help bust BUSTER (#A1507255) out of the East Valley Animal Shelter. He was picked up as a 'stray', but microchipped. The person listed on the chip showed up at the shelter, but explained that he had rehomed BUSTER several years ago when he could no longer care for him. The new person failed to update the contact info on the chip. When the previous owner got the call from the shelter, he phoned the guy who had adopted BUSTER, who claimed that he had been deployed overseas and he had left BUSTER with a relative. Told that BUSTER was picked up on the street, the guy responded, 'Oh well, I guess she didn't want him anymore'. The previous owner is still not in a position to bring BUSTER into his home, and so, while obviously distraught, he surrendered him to the shelter, hoping 8-year-old BUSTER will find a forever home. I, too, hope BUSTER will finally meet his match, someone who will understand his need to acclimate in yet another environment and to be patient to allow BUSTER to trust again.
