About Roxy

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Meet Roxy, our sweet 12-pound Chihuahua (mix?) that we adopted seven years ago. Roxy is a funny, sweet dog who loves snuggling and burrowing under blankets. We adopted her at age four when she was surrendered by her original owner... we suspect that she didn't have the best life for those first four years but we've tried to make up for it in the last seven. She has come a long way but still goes potty in the house once in a while. (Will use reusable pee pads and also potty outside when prompted.) She is a bit bossy (small dog syndrome �٪�) and selectively prefers smaller dogs as siblings, but would probably do better as an only dog. (She gets along better with our male Jack Russell than she did our female toy Fox Terrier.) She is not cat friendly. We have made the extremely difficult decision to explore re-homing Roxy because she has nipped our toddler, as well as a friend's older son. We don't feel she poses a danger to adults but are hoping we can find someone without small children who will love her as much as we do. Roxy is up-to-date on all shots, receives regular veterinary care and has no known chronic conditions. She is also microchipped.
