Frank is a very chill animal who just wants to snuggle. He is happiest when tucked in beside you on the couch. He may be elderly but he's all there mentally and emotionally and needs someone that can understand his aches and pains and love him all the more for it. In terms of physical condition, Frank has arthritis but is still quite mobile and gets around fine for a dog of 14. He can still go on short walks and likes being outside if the weather isn't too hot. His hearing has declined a bit but as long as he can hear you, he will come when called. He can easily be off leash outside and won't run from you, though Frank has a bit of wanderlust if you let him outside unattended! He is good around just about any humans or animals with the exception of aggressive dogs or hyper children. His kidneys are at a pretty standard level of decline for his age so he needs regular restroom breaks. He can usually make it eight hours but obviously it would be better if he could be let out earlier. Their gastrointestinal systems are in very good shape but they have sensitive bellies. They don't tolerate frequent changes in their diet well but once they're changed to a new food they recover quickly. I have been the caretaker for these dogs while an ex-girlfriend went overseas for a job. One year turned into two and then it turned in to her not coming back at all. Unfortunately they won't fit into our plans as we are going to be moving onto a boat very shortly. I would love to place him with someone that can give him the love and attention he deserves instead of placing hi with the SPCA and hoping for the best. I hope someone on here will be able help find this guy a good forever home.
