Courtesy Posting: SANDRA - ID#A1742597 My name is Sandra and I am a spayed female, tan German Shepherd Dog and Chow Chow. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years old. I weigh approximately 76 pounds. I have been at the shelter since Nov 21, 2017. ------- Sandra has been totally overlooked in the shelter listed as also a GSD/chow with her pink tongue and 76 lbs. Yes, she is a German Shepherd, and maybe has some spitz breed in her. She has one tiny black pigment spot on her tongue, I don't see chow. She is good with other dogs, only 4 years old, but has an old elbow injury which causes a slight limp. Tiffani at the shelter said this about Sandra, It been 10 months and still Sandra waits for a home to call her own. Although she had a microchip that traces back to an owner, no one has responded to our notifications. This new chapter in Sandra's life is all about beating the odds and maintaining hope in the face of setbacks. The staff and volunteers at North Central are championing her cause. She is a beautiful life worth saving. Despite her physical challenges, Sandra enjoys visits from the people at our shelter that she has come to trust. She would thrive in a mature and attentive home. Upon rescue, she should be taken to a private vet for a full workup and to determine the treatment strategy.
