About Venus

Venus is an extremely loving dog. Her favorite things are treats, walks and cuddling with her people. She takes treats very gently, walks nice on a leash and loves training. Venus has a Canine Good Citizen certification and performs basic commands (sit, down, stay, here, look-at-me) very well when distractions are minimal. Venus is aggressive with all animals that are smaller than she is. Venus sometimes will tolerate dogs her size and larger with a slow, deliberate introduction. Venus is occasionally wary of unfamiliar people. Venus is about 55 lbs, about 2.5 years old, house-trained and presumed to be Australian Cattle Dog mix but her coloring and coat texture are more Collie like. Venus needs some daily exercise but not as much as many other heeler dogs. Venus is a beautiful, smart and loving dog that will be a great companion to someone who is willing to be patient and understanding with her issues.
