A5201718 Sherwin | Pit Bull/Mastiff Sherwin is an easy-going 4-year-old grey male Pit Bull and Mastiff mix who was found as a stray in Covina and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 19th. Weighing 82 lbs, Sherwin is gentle and affectionate, an all-around charmer. He loves human contact and also enjoys a good squeaky toy. He walks okay on leash, and would love to be part of a household where he goes on walks or hikes regularly. He passed his shelter-administered temperament test with flying colors. He has such great social skills that when the shelter was asked to bring a few dogs to the Los Angeles County Fair Parade, Sherwin was among the chosen, and he was happy and relaxed to be part of the event, hanging out with lots of new people and other dogs. Sherwin enjoys the company of other pooches in the shelter playgroups, but since he is a dominant male, we think he would do best with a female dog or as a solo pet. Sherwin will be a loyal and loving best friend as an indoor companion in any forever home eager to welcome a calm, affectionate large dog.
