A5193175 Matilda is a beautiful 2-year-old tricolor (copper, fawn, white) spayed female Pit Bull and German Shepherd mix who was adopted from the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center and returned within a week on October 5th due to landlord issues. Weighing 80 lbs, sweet Matilda is attentive, happy, and a serious lovebug! She loves to cuddle and appreciates your affection. She still has puppy energy and will want to go on regular walks or hikes with you. Her adopter tells us Matilda is completely housebroken, does well in a crate, and walks nicely on leash when using a harness (at the shelter, she is quite excited and pulls, but we saw video of her walking outside of the shelter and she's great!). She is smart and would respond well to additional training, which we think would improve her focus and help her feel more secure--she's been through a lot bouncing in and out of the shelter, and needs some structure now. Matilda has done well in the shelter's playgroups, but has shown some barrier reactivity at the fence, so may need work on that issue (or it may be a response to shelter stress). Matilda snorts like a pig when she's happy or excited, and we of course have to mention that she is incredibly beautiful with her widow's peak pattern and amber eyes. Matilda will be a rockstar in an active home looking for a canine partner to make a central part of everyday life.
