About Pixie

Pixie and her sister Pearl were turned to the Brevard Humane Society in by a backyard breeder who hadn't been able to sell them fast enough. They had been outdoors only and weren't in great shape. Since I started fostering them they're doing better and starting to develop into really nice dogs. They're 12 weeks old and 26lbs - they're going to big dogs (80lbs+) They walk well on leashes, love car rides and are doing well with housetraining. They have very nice temperaments, Pixie is especially mellow and calm, and have been socialized with other dogs, people and a cat. They do have one health issue that isn't resolving as quickly as we had hoped and is likely going to be a recurring problem through out their lives - as with many Shar-peis and Shar-pei mixes they have skin issues. Pixie's skin irritation is not as severe as her sister but she has some thinning of the hair on her stomach and lower legs.
