About Green Iguana

Reptile/Amphibian
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hello, my name is Rebecca, and this is Bowser, He is a Green Iguana, he is just over 2 years old and he has been my baby boy and friend for over a year and a half. When I got him from a friend he was labeled as a rescue animal. He was about six inches long and had lost part of his tail and was slowly trying to regenerate it. Bowser is now 28 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail with almost 5 inches of regrowth! He's a healthy grower and eater. He's recently had blood work done that has all come back normal. If he is handled daily or close to it he is very sweet, and likes be by your side, hell cuddle up in a blanket with you to watch TV or play video games. Or he just likes to sit in the window and sun while you work around the house. As long as you work with him, handle him, taking him out to move around and show him love, he is very docile and a great companion and dose very well out of enclosure. The reason he is up for adoption is due to a recent move and limited space in my home, I am unable to let him size up to the bigger tank he needs, and this is causing him, and I stress, and I never want to purposely cause an animal stress or harm when its something that can be fixed. The tank he is in is about 40-50 Gallons. (Which I will not be providing); it is a breeder tank that is 36' by 17' by 18' and it is far too small, he needs an enclosure at least twice that size. Due to the size of his current tank he dose have a slight ebrasion in his nose from rubbing on the tank, but this heals once he is out and has a larger enclosure. Which is why it is mandatory to me to know that the home he goes to has a big enough enclosure for him to move into when he is rehomed. Because he is continuing to grow every day. (And It should be known that is a myth that Iguanas grow only to tank size.) So its very important to me to know he's going to a home that has a big enough enclosure for him to truly grow and thrive happily and healthily. Please email me at the email provided I really want to find him a loving home where he can live out his life happily and healthily. I also have an adoption form that can be emailed and sent to anyone interested in Bowser; It is just to help me choose an owner. Please don't hesitate to email me. Thank You, Rebecca
