About ALBA

At about 6 years old, Alba found herself without a home. We don't have any history on her but one of our Pathways fosters stepped up so she'd have the opportunity to find a good home and a good life. She is a beautiful brindle girl with ears like the flying nun (for those of you who remember). Alba is housebroken, loves to go for walks, and loves to play although she doesn't understand 'bring the ball back' -- instead, fetches and runs off with it and guards it. She does need work with her resource guarding so her new owner should be willing to get a little bit of training for her and learn the techniques to continue her training on this. She will also resource guard her food so for the smoothest transition for her, she would be a great only dog. Any kids in Alba's new home should be at least 10 years old and of a responsible nature. Alba would also love her own backyard, some grass is super, and inside the home, a nice cushy bed here and there so she can be close to you. In the winter she will be happy to be your warming blanket. :) Alba is comfortable at home but possibly hasn't had much exposure to fun things like shopping at PetSmart. She trembles at fear a bit at the unknown, and also from thunder and other loud noises. While she's completely housebroken, Alba appreciates a crate with the door open so she can go in whenever she wants... her little space where she feels comforted. She is truly a sweet and loving girl who may not have gotten a lot of love in return for her first five or so years �'�| but we make sure from here forward she is spoiled with the comfort and love she deserves.
