About Duke

Meet Duke: This boy came from the LA shelter where he was Euth Listed. Duke is a very well behaved and sweet senior boy who has had a hard life. He has cropped ears, so he may look a little off-putting but this is nothing like his personality. He is a 7-year-old Staffie Mix with a Blue Grey Coat He loves to walk but for only short distances as his hind legs are very weak. We had him checked out by the vet who gave him a clean bill of health, but we are still working on getting his strength back. He will be neutered as he still has a strong male drive. He is also on meds for his skin as it is dry and flaky and irritating, again most likely from years of neglect. He has had years of neglect and possible signs of abuse. He was not treated well for sure. This does not stop him though. He loves to be affectionate. We have not temperament tested him with another dog, but he was around a small Chihuahua and it did not phase him other than wanting to mount the poor little guy.
