About Dixie

I fostered Dixie last fall, when a friends relationship caused them to not have the time to take care of her properly. They were not meant to be Dixie's forever home, but they tried to convince themselves that her life of being ignored was beneficial to them. Dixie has returned as my foster, and I would love to give her the love and permenance she deserves, but she would be best as the only dog in the household, except with experienced adopters and proper introduction. She gets possessive over food and some toys, likely due to not having been raised in the proper home environment. She loves people, men especially, and she is an overall very affectionate dog. Dixie weighs around 20 lbs and is likely a little over a year old. She is house trained, but we are working on our care manners. Dixie knows sit, and loves to run laps around the yard.
