About Willow

Hello friend, my name is Willow. After living in a very crowded house full of cats and dogs for many years, I found myself locked up in a rural kill shelter. My wiggle butt and winning smile won the heart of Augusta Dog Adoptions and now I'm living much less afraid and confused in a nice foster home. My foster mom is still learning about me, so I'll tell you what I can for now, but make sure to check back for pupdates! I've lived most of my life in a house full of other dogs and cats, so my foster mom has every reason to believe that I am good with cats and dogs. I am crate trained and I've only had one potty accident so far, so my foster mom believes that I am mostly house-trained. Please remember that I came from a hoarding case and I was not walked regularly, so I made need a little refresher course on house training when you take me home. I am very gentle, affectionate, and eager to please. If you'd like to meet me and find out more, please come to the Waynesboro Petsmart on Saturdays between 10 AM and 2 PM. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
