About 12wk old Devon is Safe

Say Hi to Devon, a 12 week old old 20lb lab mix. Shelter volunteers share 'He is a happy guy, but does not seem to have been well socialized. He acts like he WANTS to be playful but isn't sure how exactly. He has not been on a leash before, but did fairly well once he got started. He is a little spooked of loud noises, dogs and probably kids right now. This is not surprising that he's experienced being homeless in the South during severe thunderstorms. He REALLY liked the shelter cat!!! Wherever she went, he followed, seriously! He was almost attached to her, even when she was tired of the game & hissed & swatted at him, he stayed right by her, looking at her as if to say 'I know you don't really mean it.' DEVON would do great in a home with a friendly fur-buddy to help build his confidence. He would love a large fenced in yard where he could romp and play away all day. He would be good with older respectful kids but will need a quiet and safe place away from all the noise. He's young and needs some training but he's smart and treat motivated and learns quickly.
