OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi I'm Doughboy, If you're looking for a super soft dog that will love being active with you, but who will also cuddle up and be lazy with you, then boy am I the dog for you! Last week my foster parents took care of my brother and sister, and this week it's just my brother and I. Out of the three of us, I am the one who is the calmest, quietest, and definitely the most photogenic! It took me a little while to work up the co urage to explore the backyard, but now rough-housing and exploring with my brother Hawkeye is my favorite, except when something scares me or if my big foster brother gets a little too rough. Whenever I get scared you can bet I'm going to run to you so that you can cuddle and protect me. I love being close to you and am the sweetest cuddle-bug; being able to curl up in your lap, snuggle against your side, or nap on your chest is what my puppy dreams are made of. Potty training is still pretty hard for me, and sometimes I have accidents, but I'm just a puppy, I promise I'll get better! I do great in my playpen, and I'm really good at sleeping in my crate all night, not making a peep until I'm woken up in the morning for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, I'm definitely a foodie! Eating is my favorite, I don't care if it's people food, puppy food, or food that's not really food (like cords and shoes) so make sure to keep anything you don't want eaten out of my reach. I'm such a sweet and amazing boy who wants nothing more than a family who will love me, and take me to my fur-ever home. Doughboy is a male Lab Mix that will grow to be a medium to large dog that we estimate to be born around 7/6/2018. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
