Hello, Meet Rudy! He is a 9 month old Jack Russell mix. My boyfriend and I have had him for one week. We got him from a family with a 4 year old daughter last week. They mentioned that he had some possession aggression with his blanket and bones. However, after having him for a week now, he has shown many more signs of possession aggression. After speaking with Amy Clear-behavioral specialist for dogs, we have come to the conclusion that Rudy is not a good fit for us. All of his records are at Lawndale Vet in GSO and he is up to date on all his vaccines. He is microchipped. We love him dearly however, when I have been left alone with him he seems to have more aggression towards me, being a female. He responds well when males are around. He bit me this past weekend when I attempted to take away a Kleenex he grabbed. He has a lot of energy and is truly a good dog. The family that we got him from was giving him animal crackers whenever they wanted him to stop barking or to get items away from him that he shouldn't have which just reinforced this bad behavior for the 6 months they had him. The former family got him as a stray at 2-3 months old. We would like to surrender Rudy so he can find a forever home with a better fit and someone that can give him extensive training.
