Male Bull mastiff with some possible great Dane. He is 150 pounds, not a fence jumper. He is really big. Off lease he is great, he does the dog park no problem. On leash he is aggressive with other dogs. In the last 10 days he had 2 incidents and now has 2 strikes. If we cant find the right home and he has another incident the police will take him and he will be terminated without trial. He was on a nylon leash when a small poodle and its owner walked by. He broke the leash and raced for the other dog. The owner picked up the poodle but the bull mastiff was able to get the leg and shook it but during the scuffle the owner's elbow got a light bite. No stitches or anything but the owner called the police which makes this strike 2. The poodle was just fine no bite. He needs a large yard, an acre or two or more. Once someone is in the house he is fine. He needs more than what we can give him in the suburbs. This is an eminently emergency situation of life and death. He is loving and it is sad to have his home changed but necessary otherwise he will need to go on a shock collar. If you have the space and would like to rescue him please call me. I am not the owner just a neighbor but I offered to help. In a new area his strikes will be wiped away. Please Help Save him if you have room.
