I unfortunately might have to rehome my 1 year old purebred golden retriever service dog. For those who don't know a service dog under ADA law definition is 'A service animal means any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.' He began his training at 12 weeks old from a k-9 trainer, so he has gone through lots of socialization and basic training he's now at the stage of age to begin his more vigorous training for the handler. I was going to train him for psychiatric service dog. He is very smart and you can teach him anything with treats and dedication. I was doing very well with training him untill life started to flip. I am not in a rush to find him a home untill the right family comes along. He will stay a working dog and is not washed or retired so the new family must keep him working.
