About *URGENT* GLENDA

UPDATE: GLENDA (#A1792897) is currently in a foster home, but come the end of September, the foster family has to find another foster/permanent home for her. The family is leaving the country for 8 months, but will gladly take GLENDA back when they return. A flyer is posted further down on the thread. If you can help GLENDA and her foster family, please call the number on the flyer. In all your 8-years, you probably never felt a gentle touch, or heard anyone say what a good girl you are. You look like you were bred and bred and bred until you could breed no more. Based on the growths on your body, you probably never saw a vet. Based on the filth that covered you, you probably were never bathed. GLENDA, are those tears in your eyes? Were they happy tears because, today, you got some joy from getting bathed and being told by everyone who met you how beautiful you are, both inside and out? Tears fell from my eyes, too, because I saw your confusion, and your depression. The fact that you didn't come out of the cubby for days, and then you had to be lifted onto a cart to bring you from the kennel to the lobby was a display of your fear. GLENDA, I promise you that your life is about to change for the better. You will know what it's like to be loved and looked after by a person/family who wants to spoil you. You won't have to turn your face away when all anyone wants to do is caress you.
