About ROXY

Roxy is an adorable 3 year old blue nose pitbull. She weighs 40 pounds and is very healthy and active. She loves to play and cuddle. She is submissive to her owner, loves to cuddle and have lots of attention. Unfortunately, Roxy is not good with other dogs or cats and my girlfriend has both. We are moving in together and Roxy is not compatible with her animals so we are looking for a new home. She isn't aggressive but can be spastic with other animals and new people. We can only assume that she was never properly socialized as a puppy. I've spent a lot of time training her but she is still not suitable for a home with other pets, young children or elderly people because she has a lot of energy and doesn't know her own strength. We live in an urban area and it can be a little overstimulating for her. We've been giving her 10 milligrams of 'dog prozac' daily which helps calm her down. She would be better at a home with a large yard where she could run. She loves attention and would be the sweetest, loyal companion for someone who has the time and energy to give. She also would make a good guard dog because she barks loudly when people she doesn't know come to the door.
