Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet. Ethan Australian Shepard 53.2lbs, neutered 3 years old. Ethan the big boy who is full of life, love & energy lost his home because his dad said he could no longer care for Ethan & Ethan kept running away from home so he kept Ethan in a crate until he was rescued. Ethan we believe is an Australian Shepherd but it is always up to you to decide what breed you think he is based upon his pictures. Ethan needed quite a bit of medical work done & over $1000 alone has been spent on Ethan's medical care since he came into the rescue. Ethan is roughly 53.2 lbs & had to be neutered & he was neutered by laser by our wonderful vets, chipped, now has his shots, he is heart worm be, he had a mass the size of a plum that needed to be surgically removed & we also got it biopsied as it was quite a large cyst so this poor fellow had been carrying that around on his thigh. The results came back benign thank goodness. Ethan also received a dental/scaling & polish along with x-rays so this poor boy needed the works & we got it done for him. Now Ethan is looking for his forever home, we have been working on Ethan's doggy manners with all different breeds of dogs & we had him in the daycare so he could socialize with all different sizes, breeds & personalities. Ethan still would benefit from structure & training so his new family should be willing to work on this. This fellow needs a home where he can be taken on walks, runs, hiking etc & would not do well in an apartment so he needs a forever home with a fully fenced backyard & a active household. Ethan is currently being fostered in a foster home & his wonderful foster family are working with him. Ethan has been around cats in his foster home since being in the rescue but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so this would be up to the new family to be responsible with. Ethan would also do well being the only dog in his loving forever home. As with all of our rescues & Ethan's friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Ethan & going through the process and have read his listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Ethan that meet all the requirements for this little fellow. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Ethan has an adoption fee of $685 & is ready for his forever home. **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you
