Blanche is fostered in Myakka City, FL (Manatee County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters. Blanche is a little 8 lb senior lap dog. She loves to burrow in covers and blankets and particularly enjoys cave-style dog beds. She loves cuddling and has been to a nursing home to visit, and the residents absolutely adored her. Blanche takes meds for her heart and will be seeing a vet for follow-up soon. She gets along great with most dogs, but should be considered dog-selective, and as always in a home with other dogs, a meet-and-greet would be required with them. She should not go to a home with young children, and any kids around her will need to be patient, considerate and older. She has no teeth (we had them pulled for her health) but has a great appetite and will eat moistened kibble. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm-free. As a senior dog her standard adoption donation is $200, however she can be adopted by a senior 65+ for $100 through our Seniors for Seniors program.
