Give Gage a toy and he's in doggy heaven. Add that to running round the house in glee at seeing his foster mom, then jumping over the couch to land in her lap, and you have a 58-pound pup who thinks he's a lap dog! Clearly someone's pet at one time, he loves everyone he meets, and in true puppy love fashion, plays with and follows after his female German shepherd foster sib. Displaying excellent manners, he eats his meals politely, accepts jerky treats gently, sits patiently for brushing and bathing, and understands 'sit' and 'no'. While mainly a medium energy mister, he loves hiking with his foster mom in the mountains where they live, and is calm when meeting other dogs on the trail. Both crate and housetrained, he's at work on his leash skills and learning to pull less. Now all gregarious Gage needs is a patient and loving home to complete his education and keep him mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever.
