About Petunia

Petunia is a 7 year old, 8 pound Chihuahua who is full of personality. She is very sweet and cuddly. Petunia does really well with other dogs and has made friends with all the other dogs in her foster home. Once Petunia is comfortable with people she loves to sit with them and cuddle. She is a typical Chihuahua and likes blankets to burrow into or another dog to cuddle with. At night Petunia likes to snuggle up with her people in bed. Because Petunia is a little girl her forever home should not have large dogs or small children. She is used to a fenced yard and would like one at her forever home. Petunia is a tiny girl and can't go an 8 hour workday without going potty. She needs an adopter who is home often. Petunia came into rescue from a high kill shelter in Texas. She was being taken out of her kennel to be euthanized when our volunteer grabbed her. Petunia was supposed to be heartworm positive, had horrible teeth, a bladder infection, and had a lump on her chest. Much to our surprise Petunia was heartworm negative, we tested her twice to make sure. She has had the lump removed from her chest, her teeth cleaned, and her bladder infection has been treated. Petunia is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
