About Snickers

Meet Snickers (foster calls Sophie) a petite 13-pound female beagle mix with the best underbite in the world. She is 3 years old, and still very timid and scared of the world. Snickers has not had the best start to life and is still learning to trust. She is weary of strangers and will hide or cower. She will need a loving and patient home that is willing to give her the time she needs to warm up and feel safe. Once she feels safe there will be no stopping her love. She loves to be held and is constantly seeking attention of her fosters. She is being fostered with a male Jack Russel and does well with him. May need a slow introduction to other dogs. Not sure about cats. She is scared of loud noises and fast movements, so a home with older children may be ideal. Very good at walking on a leash---stays right next to you. She is almost completely housebroken but will use a pee pad if needed. She will need to work on crate training, as of now she cannot stand one. However, she is good at roaming freely and does not chew or show destructive behavior. She does gather shoes and lays with them in her bed (does not chew). Listens well to her name and will stay close without a fence once she is comfortable with you. Snickers will make an amazing dog to the right family, if given the chance.
