About Sophie

Sophie is a 49 pound, 2 year old, Pitt mix who is very affectionate and eager to please. She's crate trained, house trained, and she's learning to walk well on her leash. Sophie enjoys the company of other dogs, she hasn't lived with cats, and she's good with older kids. She's still young, so she can tend to be a little mouthy when playful which might make smaller children nervous. Sophie is a medium energy girl who loves to play with toys and understands some basic commands. She has a good handle on the 'leave it' command and she's learning sit, stay, and come. Foster mom has noticed that Sophie is very determined to be near to her; she doesn't need constant attention, but she likes to be with her people. Sophie has one odd trait-unlike many of her kind she can't eat chicken! She is allergic to chicken and chicken broth. Thankfully, there are a lot of dog food types available, so finding her a good, healthy, chicken-free food shouldn't be a problem. Foster mom has happily reported that Sophie is growing in confidence by the day. She's sure that Sophie will settle into her new family and be a loyal and sweet companion.
