About Beaux

Adoption Fee: $200
Border Collie
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Name: Beaux Sex: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Border Collie (long coat) Weight: Est 48 lbs (he's a little chunky) Height: Est 24' at the shoulder Estimated Birthdate: 9/19/2011 Fence Needed: Yes Location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Adoption Fee:$200 Reason for being in rescue: Beau originally came to CPR in 2015 as an owner surrender. He was adopted by a loving family. Unfortunately, Beau became aggressive toward a small dog in the home and he was returned to CPR in June 2018. Special Needs: None noted What kind of home would be best for me: Beau needs a home with experienced owners. He cannot be in a home with small dogs, but a family with large dogs should not be an issue for him. Beau's new family will need to understand that as a working breed, Beau needs a job to do. He can't just be a couch potato! A nice big fenced in yard with plenty of open space to run would be just right. What is my personality like: Beau is a gorgeous brown and white border collie. He is incredibly friendly to people, and he does well with large dogs. Beau was surrendered for being aggressive to a small dog. Beau is so smart, he can actually open doors when the mood strikes him! He enjoys being loved on and running around. He is very mellow in his crate, but Beau needs space where he can be free to run and enjoy life. He plays fetch and is not aggressive at all when you take the ball back from him. He just wants to be with you. He lets you know when he is ready to rest by nosing the door to go back in. Beau is medium energy, depending on what is going on around him. Beau is not food or crate aggressive and he is very clean! How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly Tips and Tidbits: Be prepared for a lot of people to tell you what a stunning, beautiful dog you have. House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
