Owner's mental/physical health declining and had to move into a nursing home where they do not allow dogs. Special Needs: none noted What kind of home would be best for me? Angel needs a home where someone can be with her the majority of time. She can be needy and wants to be near her human. Angel would love to go to a home with other dogs that can show her the ropes but, it is okay if she is the princess of the castle. Owner Experience Level 4: Second or third dog, no experience with behavior or medical issues other than routine end of life issues What is my personality like: I'm Angel, formally known as Angelette. I am believed to be a chihuahua pomeranian mix and I am only 5 years old! Unfortunately, my owner was forced out of her apartment into a nursing home where she could no longer have me. It was difficult for her to give me up but she knew she had no other option. My previous owner who is a senior citizen got me as a puppy. She suffered with physical and mental illness which did not allow me to be the puppy I could have been. Since I have been in my foster home with several other dogs, I am learning how to actually be one! At first, I would quickly hide under the bed and wouldn't dare come out... now, I still like to be under the bed but will run out with a wagging tail and begging for attention! My foster mama thinks I am the sweetest dog that she has ever met. I love people, and I just want them to love me just as much. My favorite thing to do is nuzzle my head on their chest while they talk to me. I can't understand what they are saying but it sounds wonderful! So far I get along great with respectful children, cats and other dogs. I walk fantastic on a leash and I appreciate being in a crate sometimes to get away from all of the commotion and relax. I would make a great dog for someone who is looking to add a little fun and sweetness into their lives! How do I act when I first meet new people: Any human that has a lap for me to snuggle in, and that will play with me is a friend of mine! Tips and Tidbits: I'm still coming out of my shell. House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
