About Darla needs a foster

Hi, I'm DARLA and I hope you'll pause and take time to read about me as it truly is a matter of life and death. I once lived in a loving home for several years and I was loved and cared for a special person. A few years ago, he left me with some people who didn't really like dogs. I don't know why but he never came back for me. It's been tough for me ever since. When he left the people kept me in the basement day and night, all alone, except to go potty. It was a terribly lonely time and since then I've had separation anxiety and I'm not the social butterfly I once was. My rescue has a fantastic plan for me. They have been in touch with a world renowned canine behaviorist who has help thousands of dogs just like me over come separation anxiety.. We are looking for a special person who is willing to foster me and work with her via the internet to help me over come my separation anxiety. It won't cost you anything as the rescue pays for all my essentials, food, preventatives, training and crate. For the training program to be effective someone has to be with me at all times and follow the trainers simple instructions exactly. It doesn't have to be the same person, but I can't be left alone at all in the beginning at least. Also I need to be your one and only to help me get through this process. I so want to move on and overcome this challenge but need the help and commitment of a very special person. Could it be you? It could be great fun and rewarding for us both. You could learn from the ..... a skill that you could use to help other pups like me. And in fact I'm a really great dog, a fun companion, and super sweet snuggle bug. My current foster mom says I'm sweeter than a basket full of kittens. And I like to have fun too. Do you like to play catch? I do and I am a world class fetcher! If you throw me a ball, I'm going to chase it down and bring it back to you-Every. Single. Time. What about jogging and hiking? I love the feeling the crunching of autumn leaves under my paws! I would make a fantastic jogging or hiking companion as I'm very athletic and love adventures. I also love coming home and putting my paws up and relaxing by your side. My foster mom calls me a snuggle bunny cause I love to cuddle. I will keep you warm on cold winter nights. Not to boast but I'm a smarty pants, eager to please and I know plenty of tricks and commands (I can sit, stay and shake your hand like nobody's business). Here are a few other details about me: I'm 5 years old I'm a Boxer/Hound mix I weigh 48 lbs. Right now I would do best in a foster or forever home as the only pet as my social skills are rusty and I'd really like to soak up all the attention for myself during the training period.
