About Walker

Hi! My name is Walker, Texas Ranger. No, it's not Walker, Texas Ranger just 'Walker'. But now that I got your attention, let me tell you about myself. I am a 2 yr old (70lb) Treeing Walker Coonhound. I am UTD on my vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, neutered, and currently on all of my prevention. I love being at my foster mom's house, however, I really want to find my permanent home. I am doing well with my foster dog friends and I am trying to get to know the cats. So, I think I am fitting in well, so far. I do well in my crate and also doing well my house training so far. It's a new thing for me to be inside and I am trying to learn as quickly as I can. I just want to please my foster family and eventually please my new family. I have been around horses as well as chickens and I do not bark and have respect for them. I also enjoy riding in the car. I stay in a 4 foot fence just fine. I bark when I am ready to come in but will just stay outside and lounge around if I can't come in at that moment. I bark mainly because I want to be with my foster family or if I see someone come up. I don't just keep barking like my foster brother does. When I come in, I just give TONS OF KISSES! I love adults and kids! I do not know a stranger at all. I come in and just sit down and hang out at the feet of my foster mom and her family. I know I am not some beautiful fluffy dog and a hound can have that very distinct bark but PLEASE give me a try. I just want to be loved and I have so much to give. Another thing, I need is a yard with a fence. Nothing huge but I like to keep my skills up by sniffing around and with no fence, no telling where my nose will take me. I am also learning the leash.
