Brigid (of whom a photo will be posted asap) is a 4-year-old Irish setter of hunting stock who, with her brother Seamus, flunked out of bird dog training and therefore needed a non-hunting home where they could survive simply as pets. The two dogs are highly bonded and may need to be adopted together. However, Brigid is a merciless bully toward her brother, who defers to her, as well as toward smaller and unassertive dogs, whom she frightens into submission. She would thrive with a great deal of positive human interaction. She has not been assessed around children but is quite compatible with adult humans. Brigid is wide-ranging and needs a great deal of open space in which to run, which she does almost obsessively every day, rain or shine.
