About Bucky

This beautiful boy is Bucky! He was found as a stray and taken to the shelter. We think he is only 1-2 years old and possibly a cairn terrier mix. Our rescue was able to bust him out of the shelter and place him with one of our fosters until we can find him a forever home. Bucky is a little nervous in his new setting and he is a very sweet boy. He is just starting to get comfortable and show his personality. He thinks he is a lap dog and loves to snuggle with you. Bucky loves going for walks and prefers to sleep with his person at night. Sadly he is heartworm positive. He is on the slow kill treatment which is simple and inexpensive. He will only require Advantage Multi for his heartworm and flea treatment each month. The adopter will need to agree to continue his treatment. At 6 months the rescue will retest him. Bucky has not been tested with children or cats. Since he was a stray and apt to roam, he will need a fenced yard. He is microchipped and is scheduled to be neutered, which is included in his adoption fee. Bucky weighs in at about 16 pounds. He has a beautiful coat and the cutest underbite! He will still need a little work with housetraining because we think he was not allowed to be a house pet. Bucky will make someone a great companion!
