About Bailey

I found Bailey along an entrance ramp to a busy interstate, huddled against the side of the road with a bucket of water next to her. She looked very lost and scared, and I spent two hours trying to coax her into my car with some food/leash. I finally caught her, and she has been with me for the last week. Bailey is a very shy dog, but has opened up considerably since I've had her. She initially struggled to walk even three feet on a leash, and now she is almost to walking around our full block happily! She loves loves loves attention, and would be perfectly content having her belly scratched or cuddling for hours. She is very calm and has an 'old senior' vibe to her, although our vet estimated her to be only 1-2 years. I have never heard a sound out of her. She doesn't whine or bark and honestly would probably gladly spend hours in our guest room just sleeping and being lazy. She also seems to be house broken and has not had a single accident in our house or her crate. She gets along well with my small dog and I am currently working on introducing her to our cats. Her vet examination went well, however I am currently treating her for whipworms and fleas. Bailey deserves the best life possible. Its obvious she's had it hard until now, and she is one of those dogs that you can tell is just so grateful and thankful for being rescued.
