About Omar

Hello! We've been fostering Omar, but are hoping to transition him to a forever home where his needs can be more capably met. He's a spunky, athletic, smart, inquisitive, and very affectionate dog. Unfortunately with a small child and dog and busy lives we're not able to give Omar the level of exercise and training that will help him thrive long-term. Here is a bit more info from our trainer at Clubhouse for Dogs here in Seattle: 'Omar needs an experienced handler who can devote her/his time to a consistent exercise routine, mental stimulation and slow steps towards more socialization and exposure. Omar currently lives with a smaller furry sibling. However, he needs to improve his play skills. Omar would do best with an active person or couple, no kids and other animals. A pronounced prey drive has been identified. Omar is up to date on vaccinations, and we are currently working with him on basic manners as well as muzzle training. Omar has the support of The Clubhouse and is a great dog who deserves a chance.'
