About Charlotte Bronte

Hello there! My name is Charlotte Bronte, and I'm a sweet, adorable, active, and playful gray tabby DSH little girl who was born in May 2018. Compared to my identical twin sister Emily, I'm the shyer, more cautious of the pair, so I rely on Emily to try everything first. Then I happily join in. I love the top perch of my two cat trees, and my getting up high is actually helping build my self-confidence. There are windows on all four walls of my room, but I prefer watching cable television! My mom Julia Child and our litter of four were rescued as strays by a nice lady who knew we needed to get away from living at a low-income apartment complex. Whew! It was a struggle at my tender age, so I lived under the apartment building for protection. I'm surely glad that my hardscrabble days are over and that now I live in luxury in my foster home. Goodness --I'm still with my birth mom Julia Child, have cat trees to climb, cat toys to play with, and soft beds to snuggle in. It's heaven! And my foster mom spends lots of time loving me, kissing me, and cradling me in her lap. Initially I lived a sheltered life in my first foster home without kids and a lot of people. However, my next foster home exposed me to small dogs, other cats, and a family with well-mannered children, and I'm adapting quite well. I've even learned to play fetch! Depending on the family dynamics, I may still need a patient human family who allows me to warm up to them.
